Commander's Message

To My Fellow Legion Members

First, I wish to start by wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 2010, was another great year for the American Legion. And, it was made possible by our many Volunteers. First, I would like to thank our Honor Guard for continuing to do what they do. To all of the people who helped with the Tom and Jerry’s on Thanksgiving, and the Poinsettia delivery to our shut-ins. Next, a huge thank you to everyone who has been working all of our pancake breakfasts. To our work crews, and to Billy Christianson for working our highly successful Wednesday Night Bingo.  To all of the men and women who do the events outside of our building. I know I may have missed some but again I say THANK YOU for your help.

Next, an update on my Commander’s project. My goal was to raise $8,900.00 to retire one of our debts. I am proud to say that at the writing of this letter I am within $600.00 of reaching that goal. Thank you for your support in this area.

We, continue to fine tune some things in the operation of our club. The house committee is meeting with Todd and talking about our different options. As, you all know the winter months are a cause of great concern. With many of our members gone for the winter, our weekly income will go down also. So, I ask that you continue to use the club and support the club in any way possible.

Finally; thanks again for your continued support. Please, look for the sign-up sheets on the door as you walk in to the club as we are always looking for help with different projects.

Thank You for All You Do

Bill Goette Commander

Auxiliary News

To All Auxiliary Members;

Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. I do not have much to report at this time. So I wish to thank our membership for it’s continued support in 2010, and my officers for their support and service. We will not be meeting in January, so if you have any items that you need to discuss please contact me. At our next meeting we will begin discussing 2011 and what lies ahead. Thank you for your continued support.

For God and Country
Janet Scherb
