Dear Board,

It is with deep regret that I must resign my position as Commander of Post 56, effective today. The delinquent tax debt facing Post 56 is great, and the State of Minnesota will hold me personally responsible, if it is not paid.

 
I am under a Judge’s Order (MN Statue 268.063), as Commander, of being held personally liable. I have written 4 appeal letters challenging my personal liability, and have filed a 5th appeal to a Judge’s Order, which would be effective January 10th. My 5th, and final appeal, left me no recourse, but to resign my position.
I have enjoyed my short tenure as Commander, and feel the board has taken steps in the right direction, but more needs to be done to insure oversight of the entire Post.
